Master Support Index and Source Register
General Organisation Theory | Parts 1–3 | Issue 1 | 25 September 2026
This is the control entry point for the Parts 1–3 master support stack. It identifies the five master documents, their source boundary, the current source files and the update path. The masters provide series-wide navigation and consolidated records while the canonical papers retain technical authority.
Control field | Value |
|---|---|
Document ID | |
Authority | Series support consolidation. Canonical definitions remain with the owning Part 1, 2 or 3 paper. |
Scope | Part 0 is the storage location only. Part 0 content, essays and TET are outside this canon. The deferred Toolkit contributes no active content. |
Source control | Twelve Issue 1 part-level support documents; 21 current technical papers. Current hashes and source paths are recorded in MSD00 and the companion manifest. |
Contents Master document register • Canon and authority boundary • How the layers work together • Current canonical source register • Current part support source register • Coverage and consolidation accounting • Issue controls and update procedure • Verification boundaries • Revision record
Source locators identify the original support document, table and data row. T01 is the first top-level table; R01 is its first data row after the header. Local Paper and PB labels retain the scope shown alongside them.
Master document register
Control | Document and purpose |
|---|---|
MSD00 | Master Support Index and Source Register |
MSD01 | Master Concept Compression Map |
MSD02 | Master Glossary and Canonical Ownership Register |
MSD03 | Master Guardrail and Failure-Mode Register |
MSD04 | Master Bibliography and Relation Register |
All five DOCX files sit alongside this index with the filename prefix GOT-V1-MSD00 through GOT-V1-MSD04 and suffix Issue 1. Master Support Manifest - Issue 1.json records full source and output digests for file-management checks. The master identifiers use MSD rather than a Part 0 paper number.
Canon and authority boundary
Material | Treatment |
|---|---|
21 technical papers in Parts 1–3 | Canonical conceptual source boundary for this stack: 3 Part 1 papers, 10 Part 2 papers and 8 Part 3 papers. |
12 part-level support documents | Direct consolidation inputs. Their compressed definitions, relations and guardrails remain subordinate to the canonical papers. |
Part 1 Prelude GOT-V1-1-0 | Reader orientation only. Its own opening identifies it as non-canonical; no conceptual content is imported. |
Part 0 orientation material | Excluded from conceptual support. Hosting the masters under Part 0 does not admit Part 0 to canon. |
Essays and TET | Excluded. No definitions, claims, references or formal apparatus are imported from these files. |
The Epistemic Toolkit and its deferred controls | Outside the current canonical set. The deferred support update is not activated by this consolidation. |
Earlier full-series support copies | Outside this consolidation source set. Retained separately in the parent folder; the new stack has distinct names and location. |
Formatting control GOT-SFMT-01 v0.4 | Design authority only: Arial role sizes, visible grey grids, repeating headers and the existing portrait/landscape support families. No conceptual authority. |
How the layers work together
Canonical paper → owning part support → series master. This is a consolidation path, not a transfer of canonical ownership. Within each part, reconcile SD01 → SD02 → SD03 → SD04. At series level, reconcile MSD01 → MSD02 → MSD03 → MSD04, then refresh this index and the manifest.
Use MSD01 to find the owning paper, MSD02 to resolve a term, MSD03 to test a possible failure, and MSD04 to recover a publication’s local scholarly relation. Definitions that share a label remain separate when scope or role differs. A single publication identity may carry several independently controlled relations.
Current canonical source register
All hashes below were recalculated from the supplied files on 25 September 2026. SHA16 is the first 16 hexadecimal characters of SHA-256; full digests and exact workspace-relative paths are in the manifest. Each of the 21 current paper SHA16 values agrees with its active part-support lock. Historical predecessor hashes are not substituted for current identity.

Current part support source register
The P1, P2 and P3 prefixes in source locators refer to the three source folders below. Part 2 contains both Part 2a and Part 2b internal regions; PB labels must retain their subpart prefix to avoid collisions.

Coverage and consolidation accounting
Object | Coverage in this issue |
|---|---|
Canonical ownership | 21 owning technical papers. The non-canonical Part 1 prelude is excluded from conceptual content. |
Glossary | 347 original local definition records under 317 alphabetical term labels. All controlled definitions, home/type fields and guardrails retained. |
Failure modes | 220 original local failure-mode records, plus the source diagnostic, architecture, edge-case and interface tables. MI01–MI12 provide cross-part navigation and scope controls. |
Bibliographic identity | 178 publication rows across P1, P2a, P2b and P3 consolidated to 166 publication identities. Citation variants and local PB aliases retained. |
Scholarly relations | 196 local admitted-relation rows retained: 46 P1, 28 P2a, 38 P2b and 84 P3. Holds, exclusions, search residuals and inheritance controls retained separately. |
Compression maps | Substantive architecture, ownership, concept stacks, dependency spines, operational sequences and local interfaces carried forward with a new cross-part overview. |
Repeated source-lock tables and historical change/release blocks are replaced by the current source register and issue controls. Exportable part-document schemas and old formatting-template references remain in the source documents. Part 3 historical migration and deferred Toolkit material remain outside the active master content. Those omissions do not remove a current definition, failure-mode record or admitted local bibliographic relation.

Issue controls and update procedure
Trigger | Required update |
|---|---|
A canonical paper changes | Retain the previous file identity; record the new hash; compare the changed concepts, headings, notes and bibliography. Reconcile the owning part support chain before the masters. |
A definition or ownership changes | Amend MSD01 ownership and affected interfaces; reconcile MSD02 definitions, MSD03 controls and MSD04 relevant relations. Do not silently redefine another paper’s terms. |
A support row changes | Preserve its old locator in history. Reconcile the exact imported row and any macro summary that cites it. Refresh the source and output hashes. |
A publication or local relation changes | Update the paper first, then the part bibliography. Preserve MB identity for the same work, local PB aliases, local relation status and holds. |
New material becomes canonical | Make an explicit scope revision before import. Part 0, essays, TET or Toolkit material is not admitted merely by being present in the workspace. |
Issue release | Check source identity, scope, row coverage, local IDs, cross-part ownership and rendering. Save a new issue and regenerate the manifest after the DOCX files are final. |
Verification boundaries
Current file identity and consolidation coverage are checked against the supplied source set. This is not a new external literature audit, independent validation of the theory, or an approval of the source papers’ findings. Existing relation codes and source-level limitations remain intact, including Paper 2a-1c’s evidence limits and prose-only scholarly roles. Current hashing resolves file identity; it does not by itself settle a conceptual discrepancy.
The companion manifest is the full digest register. It lists the 21 canonical papers, 12 part support inputs, the excluded non-canonical prelude as context-only, and all five final master files. It intentionally does not hash itself.
