Master Bibliography and Relation Register
General Organisation Theory | Parts 1–3 | Issue 1 | 25 September 2026
This register consolidates 178 part and subpart publication records into 166 publication identities while retaining all 196 paper-local relation records. Publication identity, relational use, hold status and search residual remain separate control objects.
Control field | Value |
|---|---|
Document ID | |
Authority | Series support consolidation. Canonical definitions remain with the owning Part 1, 2 or 3 paper. |
Scope | Part 0 is the storage location only. Part 0 content, essays and TET are outside this canon. The deferred Toolkit contributes no active content. |
Source control | Twelve Issue 1 part-level support documents; 21 current technical papers. Current hashes and source paths are recorded in MSD00 and the companion manifest. |
Contents Bibliographic control rules • Canonical paper key • Deduplicated publication identities • Cross part identity matches • Paper local relation register • Local identity and relation controls • Hold exclusion and residual register • Local discovery boundaries • Inheritance and maintenance controls
Source locators identify the original support document, table and data row. T01 is the first top-level table; R01 is its first data row after the header. Local Paper and PB labels retain the scope shown alongside them.
Bibliographic control rules
A publication receives one MB identity when its DOI or explicit author, title, year and edition identity agrees. Repeated citation does not strengthen a scholarly relation or create Indexed Inheritance. Source citation variants are retained where supplied records differ; no bibliographic correction or external verification is implied by this consolidation.
Historical maturity, class, relation-tag and inheritance codes are carried exactly as recorded. Paper 2a-1c’s prose-only reuse roles remain prose-only. GOT-SD-BIB-01 is referenced by the inputs, but its absent full code system is not reconstructed here. Missing maturity is shown as recorded, not inferred.
Canonical paper key
Local scope | Local label | Canonical identifier |
|---|---|---|
Part 1 | Paper 1 / Paper 2 / Paper 3 | |
Part 2a | Paper 1 / 1a / 1b / 1c | GOT-V1-2a-1 / 2a-1a / 2a-1b / 2a-1c |
Part 2b | Paper 2 / 3 / 4 / 4a / 4b / 4c | GOT-V1-2b-2 / 2b-3 / 2b-4 / 2b-4a / 2b-4b / 2b-4c |
Part 3 | Prefix the local key with GOT-V1-; retain the full 3a, 3b or 3c section key. |
Inherited Part 1 means Part 1 ownership even when the row is used in Part 2 or Part 3. A bridge, handoff or inherited entry does not create a new canonical home. MSD00 maps P1-SD01 through P3-SD04 to exact input filenames.

MB158 | GOT-V1-2b-3 | Maturity: A3 | Examined overlap: lower-than-human cognition boundary; Paper 3 places applied distinction below cognition and permits non-biological loci. |
MB067 | GOT-V1-2b-3 | Maturity: A3 | Examined overlap: distributed operational unit; locus remains attribution discipline, not distributed-mind ontology. |
MB005 | GOT-V1-2b-3 | Maturity: A3 | Examined overlap: regulation, variety, finite alternatives; intelligence still requires applied distinction and comparator-stable dependence. |
MB021 | GOT-V1-2b-3 | Maturity: — | Terminological provenance only: external “active information” has different quantum-theoretic meaning; no Bohmian mechanism inherited. |
MB152 | GOT-V1-2b-3 | Maturity: A3 | Restricted application neighbour: externalised traces reused; Paper 3 generalises through producing-locus provenance plus present uptake. |
MB081 | GOT-V1-2b-3 | Maturity: A3 | Opposing comparator: performance/goal-achievement measure versus distinction-conditioned dependence; success alone is insufficient. |
MB138 | GOT-V1-2b-4 | Maturity: A3 | Examined overlap: technically mediated observation; Paper 4 generalises below scientific practice through RRP/OP/OA/OR/RAS. |
MB020 | GOT-V1-2b-4 | Maturity: A3 | Examined overlap: produced data/record distinguished from stronger epistemic status; no data/phenomena framework inherited. |
MB058 | GOT-V1-2b-4 | Maturity: A3 | Observer-architecture overlap: IGUS bundle decomposed into TO/OIP/NTO thresholds. |
MB037 | GOT-V1-2b-4 | Maturity: A3 | Competing minimal-observer threshold: action/feedback criterion versus persistent record-presence first. |
MB095 | GOT-V1-2b-4 | Maturity: A3 | Biological-cognition precursor; Paper 4 derives observer-locus through its own life plus registration/retention architecture. |
MB114 | GOT-V1-2b-4 | Maturity: A3 | Epistemic-cut precursor; no symbol/code architecture inherited into the observer-status derivation. |
MB053 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Examined overlap: structured/theory-laden observation; Paper 4a derives substrate-general abstraction from OA before OR. |
MB045 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Application comparator: organism-environment perceptual relation; guards against equating abstraction with internal symbolic representation. |
MB114 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Examined overlap in cut language; Paper 4a cut is local registerability, not symbol/dynamics code architecture. |
MB041 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Examined overlap: levels/observables; Paper 4a makes abstraction constitutive of finite observation rather than an analytical method only. |
MB155 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Specialisation comparator: relevance-preserving compression; no information-bottleneck optimisation formalism inherited. |
MB104 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: — | Terminological/philosophical provenance for the “view from nowhere”; wider philosophical architecture not adopted. |
MB046 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Scientific perspectivism overlap; Paper 4a generalises perspective to any finite observation locus. |
MB094 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Perspectival realism overlap; Paper 4a adds substrate-general cut, record, comparator, and residual conditions. |
MB054 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Situated partial-perspective overlap; distinct from the paper’s substrate-general observation architecture. |
MB090 | GOT-V1-2b-4a | Maturity: A3 | Specialisation comparator: critical social correction; plurality alone does not establish objectivity. |
MB146 | GOT-V1-2b-4b | Maturity: A3 | Measurement-scale comparator: legitimate operations depend on comparability structure; Paper 4b asks the prior operative-scale question. |
MB004 | GOT-V1-2b-4b | Maturity: A2 | Acknowledged adjacency: level-sensitive system description; hierarchy-theory machinery not inherited. |
MB071 | GOT-V1-2b-4b | Maturity: A3 | Opposing scope comparator: technical quantity-valued metrology versus Paper 4b’s broader scale-governed registration use. |
MB084 | GOT-V1-2b-4b | Maturity: A3 | Cross-scale overlap: relations may not export across scale; ecology-specific machinery not inherited. |
MB013 | GOT-V1-2b-4b | Maturity: A3 | Scalar-bridge overlap: lower-scale grounding does not automatically yield target-scale explanation. |
MB125 | GOT-V1-2b-4b | Maturity: A3 | Restricted statistical application showing aggregation can change apparent relation; not a general Scale Gap theory. |
MB142 | GOT-V1-2b-4b | Maturity: A3 | Restricted statistical application showing grouping/decomposition can reverse association. |
MB007 | GOT-V1-2b-4c | Maturity: A3 | Observation-program overlap: structured sensing pathway; Paper 4c permits minimal non-purposive programs and does not require action for TO. |
MB166 | GOT-V1-2b-4c | Maturity: A3 | Counterfactual-intervention overlap; CH bounds admissible comparator intervention and does not inherit interventionism as a causal theory. |
MB137 | GOT-V1-2b-4c | Maturity: A3 | Channel-throughput comparator; OBW additionally requires observation-stack status and persistence/redeployability where claimed. |
MB005 | GOT-V1-2b-4c | Maturity: A3 | Cybernetic structural neighbour; OG is not requisite variety or regulatory success. |
MB161 | GOT-V1-2b-4c | Maturity: A3 | Restricted-domain concept-drift application; ODr generalises mapping/deployment instability beyond adaptive learners. |
MB124 | GOT-V1-2b-4c | Maturity: A2 | Acknowledged structural adjacency: dynamic pressure/boundary interactions; no observation-status or OCx criterion inherited. |

|---|---|---|---|
MB049 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: — | §9, endnote 7. Gödel’s incompleteness theorem is the exact formal exemplar and a narrowly scoped operational dependency. The wider horizon grammar is not inherited from Gödel. |
MB065 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: A3 | §6, endnote 4. Computational epistemic opacity supplies a procedural-path comparator. Procedural Availability Horizon generalises beyond computation and remains distinct from internally disclosed closure limits. |
MB066 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: — | §3, endnote 1. Horizon terminology has phenomenological provenance. The paper’s locus-relative, non-conscious availability/closure grammar is not inherited from phenomenology. |
MB067 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: A3 | §6, endnote 3. Distributed cognition provides a comparator for coupled loci. Coupling here does not establish a distributed mind or cognition. |
MB076 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: A3 | §11, endnote 8. Paradigm stabilisation and retrospective reconstruction provide a science-historical specialisation of stabilisation and lost branch visibility; paradigm theory is not inherited. |
MB115 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: A3 | §11, endnote 9. Discriminating alternatives through strong inference specialises comparator discipline. The paper generalises beyond empirical hypotheses and distinguishes epistemic alternatives from causal branches. |
MB130 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: — | §8, endnote 5. Terminological disambiguation only: the Gödel-spacetime use of “Gödel horizon” is unrelated to this epistemic and methodological grammar. |
MB141 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: A3 | §4, endnote 2. Bounded rationality supplies a restricted decision-theoretic comparator. Soft Horizon generalises purpose-indexed provisional closure and retains residual and update; no bounded-rationality machinery is inherited. |
MB150 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: A3 | §8, endnote 6. Quantum-foundational epistemic horizons are an examined comparator. The broader typed availability/closure grammar inherits no quantum or categorical machinery. |
MB164 | GOT-V1-3a-1 | Maturity: A3 | §13, endnote 10. Physical inference limits supply a formal specialisation. The claim that finite systems move rather than abolish horizons does not adopt the inference-device formalism. |
MB026 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: — | §7, endnote 3. Multiple working hypotheses provide a methodological precursor. The live field adds admissibility, positive exclusion, heterogeneous weighting, residual, and branch-memory. |
MB033 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 5. Inductive risk makes consequences of error relevant to acceptance. This paper keeps action thresholds under residual distinct from stronger truth or explanatory closure. |
MB040 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §11, endnote 7. Hindsight bias supplies a comparator for outcome knowledge distorting what was previously knowable. Preserve contemporaneous alternatives and avoid retrospective inevitability. |
MB051 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §2, endnote 1. Differentiated and dynamic not-knowing supplies an unknown-status comparator. This paper indexes unknown-status to relation, locus, availability, and closure demand without technical inheritance. |
MB076 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §11, endnote 7. Paradigm stabilisation supplies a science-historical comparator for retrospective inevitability. The paper generalises stabilisation and branch-memory without inheriting paradigm theory. |
MB082 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 6. Robust adaptive policy under deep uncertainty specialises corrigible action. The quantitative decision method is not inherited. |
MB088 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §9, endnote 4. Inference to the best explanation is a comparator. Best Available Formulation is broader in purpose and weaker in closure; explanatory bestness does not supply truth. |
MB098 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: — | §6, endnote 2. Specified ignorance is historical provenance for making unknowns inquiry-directing. Residual adds an unmet closure condition, a blocked stronger claim, and an update route. |
MB128 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 5. Inductive risk makes consequences of error relevant to acceptance. This paper keeps action thresholds under residual distinct from stronger truth or explanatory closure. |
MB143 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §2, endnote 1. Differentiated and dynamic not-knowing supplies an unknown-status comparator. This paper indexes unknown-status to relation, locus, availability, and closure demand without technical inheritance. |
MB145 | GOT-V1-3a-2 | Maturity: A3 | §11, endnote 7. Unconceived alternatives challenge the inference that eliminating considered candidates exhausts the serious live field. Finite-field incompleteness remains residual. |
MB001 | GOT-V1-3b-3 | Maturity: A3 | §8, endnote 5. Actual-causation exclusion is a comparator, not this paper’s Counterfactual Exclusion: a relevant alternative already in the CIF is not equivalently realised. No IIT formalism is imported. |
MB002 | GOT-V1-3b-3 | Maturity: A3 | §5, endnote 4. Intrinsic cause-effect power is a comparator for physically constrained counterfactual fields. CIF does not inherit IIT’s intrinsic integration requirements. |
MB009 | GOT-V1-3b-3 | Maturity: A3 | §3, endnote 1. Causal leverage density is an intervention-based semantic-information comparator. Primitive Power instead uses NTC/IPL-localised branch potential without requiring semantic status, viability, or a universal scalar. |
MB023 | GOT-V1-3b-3 | Maturity: A3 | §4, endnote 2. Causal capacities provide a potential-before-manifestation comparator. Primitive Power retains its own IPL, operative-distinction, comparator, and branch-field discriminator. |
MB030 | GOT-V1-3b-3 | Maturity: A3 | §11, endnote 7. Relational social power supplies a counterfactual difference-making comparator. Primitive Power requires no person, intention, compliance, or social role. |
MB072 | GOT-V1-3b-3 | Maturity: A3 | §5, endnote 3. Empowerment is an agent-centric action-channel specialisation of potential influence. CIF requires neither an agent, sensorimotor loop, nor scalar channel capacity. |
MB112 | GOT-V1-3b-3 | Maturity: — | §9, endnote 6. Narrow thermodynamic dependency for physical carriers, work, entropy, and lawful energetic accounting. The distinction-conditioned branch architecture is not inferred from thermodynamics alone. |
MB027 | GOT-V1-3b-4 | Maturity: A3 | §7, endnote 4. Structural-model degrees of responsibility are an examined comparator. The Responsibility Gradient is ordinal and relational, not their universal scalar allocation. |
MB036 | GOT-V1-3b-4 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 7. Moral crumple zones specialise proximity and role distortions. The audit must recover distributed transformations rather than assign provenance from the nearest accountable human. |
MB039 | GOT-V1-3b-4 | Maturity: A3 | §8, endnote 5. Omission responsibility supplies a non-application comparator. This paper additionally requires Immediate-Frame availability, governance of application or withholding, and material contribution under comparison. |
MB057 | GOT-V1-3b-4 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 6. The responsibility taxonomy is a precursor to separating causal contribution, role, and liability. The Provenance/Warrant distinction is not inherited from that taxonomy. |
MB064 | GOT-V1-3b-4 | Maturity: — | §5, endnote 2. Agentic-AI responsibility provenance is a functionally significant adjacency and independent convergence. The primitive locus-indexed account does not inherit its tensor or agentic framework. |
MB132 | GOT-V1-3b-4 | Maturity: A3 | §2, endnote 1. Moral responsibility without causation is an adversarial boundary comparator. Primitive Responsibility remains causal-attributional; mature Responsibility Warrants may use additional grounds. |
MB153 | GOT-V1-3b-4 | Maturity: A3 | §6, endnote 3. The many-hands problem supplies a mature-domain comparator for distributed responsibility. Provenance remains a graph of local distinction-conditioned transformations. |
MB003 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: — | §7, endnote 6. Exact-term provenance for vicarious trust in mediated interpersonal reliance with delegation and ratification. The paper generalises to outsourced closure-work across persons and other carriers. |
MB006 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 9. Vulnerability and betrayal in mature interpersonal trust provide adversarial scope pressure. Primitive reliance closure is intentionally lower-level; mature normative structures are recovered separately. |
MB043 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §6, endnote 5. Expectation under uncertainty supplies a threshold comparator. The paper’s trust threshold is not inherently probabilistic or restricted to agent-to-agent relations. |
MB047 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §11, endnote 10. Organisational trust repair specialises correction of failure-generating conditions. General repair must restore, narrow, or refuse reduced audit; reassurance alone is insufficient. |
MB048 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 8. Platform-specific trust laundering is an examined comparator and independent-convergence candidate. No developmental dependence or inheritance is established. |
MB052 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §5, endnote 4. Basic trust in skilled environmental engagement is a human ecological comparator. The paper grounds a broader retained and updateable reliance function under residual. |
MB055 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §7, endnote 6. Epistemic dependence is a comparator for reliance where individuals cannot reconstruct all evidence locally. Outsourced closure-work retains residual and refuses automatic warrant transfer. |
MB059 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 9. The commitment-based distinction between trust and mere reliance supplies adversarial scope pressure. The paper explicitly uses a lower reliance-closure function. |
MB070 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: — | §9, endnote 7. Prior trust-carrier terminology in organisational accounting is acknowledged. Carrier status is generalised while reliance-strength remains distinct from Responsibility Provenance. |
MB080 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §12, endnote 11. Human-automation trust specialises calibration of reliance. The paper generalises carrier, residual, threshold, safeguard, update, and affected-locus controls without inheriting a human-factors primitive. |
MB091 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: — | §2, endnote 2. Social complexity reduction supplies a precursor. Branch-space economy is broader, indexed to finite locus, closure demand, residual, threshold, audit, and update; systems theory is not inherited. |
MB144 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §3, endnote 3. Epistemic vigilance specialises rechecking in communication. Primitive audit extends relation-revalidation beyond communicative, propositional, or human cases. |
MB147 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: — | §9, endnote 7. Trust transfer through organisational association and linkage is a separate provenance relation. The paper generalises carrier-mediated reliance without transferring Responsibility Provenance. |
MB160 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 9. Moral repair of damaged normative trust supplies adversarial scope pressure. The paper distinguishes primitive trust failure from richer agency- and norm-sensitive repair. |
MB163 | GOT-V1-3b-5 | Maturity: — | §2, endnote 1. Practical limits to repeated justification provide philosophical provenance. The finite-locus reliance account inherits no language-game epistemology and does not make continuation closure. |
MB008 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: — | §12, endnote 11. Outcome-bias evidence supports the separation of decision quality from outcome success. It is an empirical operational dependency only, without wider framework inheritance. |
MB019 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: A3 | §9, endnote 8. Assurance 2.0 is a close methodological specialisation organising claims, evidence, defeaters, and residual doubts. The paper generalises beyond assurance of critical properties. |
MB022 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: A3 | §5, endnote 4. Infrastructural classifications and standards supply a comparator. TEM adds the recoverable relation, locus, abstraction, evidence, residual, safeguard, and update burden. |
MB044 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: — | §7, endnote 6. Dataset documentation specialises provenance, composition, intended use, and limitations. The general claim packet carries additional relation, closure, comparison, residual, and action burdens. |
MB068 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: — | §4, endnote 3. Epistemic debt as accumulated technical ignorance in smart manufacturing supplies prior terminology. The present usage concerns deferred grounding of load-bearing claims; no inheritance is claimed. |
MB086 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: — | §4, endnote 3. Epistemic debt as deferred verification in AI-assisted research is an independent terminology use. The present load-bearing-grounding account makes no priority or inheritance claim. |
MB087 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: A3 | §3, endnote 1. Street-level discretion specialises situated judgement under rules and resource limits. The paper generalises recoverability of consequential judgement without inheriting the institutional theory. |
MB100 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: — | §7, endnote 6. Model documentation specialises evaluation conditions, intended use, and limitations. The general claim packet carries additional relation, closure, comparison, residual, and action burdens. |
MB107 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: A3 | §3, endnote 2. Computerised accountability barriers are a comparator for non-transfer and non-erasure of responsibility. Responsibility Provenance/Warrant remains inherited from GOT. |
MB117 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: A3 | §10, endnote 9. Institutional auditing supplies a critical comparator for proportional formalisation. Forms, compliance, and auditability must not replace relation-preservation. |
MB123 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: A3 | §11, endnote 10. Lifecycle algorithmic auditing specialises prospective and retrospective recoverability. The general claim path does not make documentation or organisational audit epistemic warrant. |
MB135 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: A3 | §7, endnote 5. Fairness abstraction traps specialise the failure of machine execution to repair upstream under-specification. The argument extends beyond fairness and machine learning. |
MB156 | GOT-V1-3c-6 | Maturity: A3 | §9, endnote 7. Structured practical justification is a historical comparator. The claim packet does not adopt the Toulmin model and includes distinct finite-access and reliance-path burdens. |
MB028 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §9, endnote 8. AI certification specialises the certification-closure guardrail. A certificate remains a scoped operational trust carrier with residual and re-audit conditions, not epistemic ground. |
MB056 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §7, endnote 6. Legal rules of change specialise amendment grammar. Legitimate epistemic revision requires demonstrated relational failure and comparative preservation, beyond authorised procedure. |
MB060 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §8, endnote 7. Exit and voice supply an organisational-response comparator for dissent and alternatives. A method fork is not merely exit and dissent is not merely voice. |
MB090 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §4, endnote 3. Social critical interaction supplies an objectivity comparator. Public challenge can expose relational failure but participation or consensus does not establish epistemic standing. |
MB099 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §2, endnote 1. Institutional decoupling supplies a comparator for formal legitimacy without corresponding practice. Governance carriers must preserve recoverable relation rather than symbolic authority. |
MB108 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §8, endnote 7. Competitive forks supply prior terminology and an open-source operational specialisation. A rival method must preserve comparison, residual, scope, and update to serve correction. |
MB109 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §6, endnote 5. Corrigible authority in an open-source community is an operational governance comparator. Democratic or custodial authority may govern correction without creating epistemic strength by status. |
MB110 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §5, endnote 4. Institutional operational/collective/constitutional choice levels specialise level separation. The method’s own three levels do not inherit IAD or institutional rule-making authority. |
MB117 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §2, endnote 1. Verification limits and dysfunctional audit effects supply a comparator for form-as-authority. Governance retains relation-preservation, residual, comparison, safeguard, and update. |
MB148 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §3, endnote 2. Regulatory capture is a restricted domain specialisation. The wider capture account covers pressures weakening relation-preserving burdens; no public-choice framework is inherited. |
MB154 | GOT-V1-3c-7 | Maturity: A3 | §5, endnote 4. Local universality specialises workable situated adaptation of protocols. It does not supply the method’s governance framework. |
MB002 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §4, endnote 3. Intrinsic cause-effect repertoires formally specialise physically supported counterfactual possibility fields in conditional Power audits. IIT is not inherited as technical ground. |
MB024 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §9, endnote 8. Heterogeneous scientific reliability supplies adversarial pressure against a universal method guarantee. TEM cannot replace domain judgement or create closure by completion. |
MB027 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §4, endnote 3. Structural-model responsibility formally specialises conditional counterfactual attribution. TEM retains NTC/IPL/Power and Provenance/Warrant distinctions without inheriting a universal scalar. |
MB073 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: — | §3, endnote 2. Relational uncertainty has prior interpersonal-communication usage. TEM uses a different indexed relation-preservation meaning; this is terminology provenance and disambiguation, not inheritance. |
MB096 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §6, endnote 6. Evidential severity specialises discriminatory comparator pressure. The method neither inherits error-statistical formalism nor restricts comparison to statistical inference. |
MB103 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §5, endnote 5. PROV-style provenance specialises recoverable entity/activity/agent paths. Provenance or record recovery does not by itself supply epistemic warrant. |
MB117 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §9, endnote 8. Institutional auditing is a direct comparator for method-compliance hardening into compliance ritual. Procedural completion does not establish relation-preservation. |
MB128 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §8, endnote 7. Inductive risk specialises consequence-sensitive acceptance and action thresholds. Action under residual remains distinct from truth or closure status. |
MB156 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §2, endnote 1. Practical argumentation is a structural neighbour. The claim path additionally carries indexed finite-access, carrier, reliance, residual, safeguard, and update burdens without adopting the Toulmin framework. |
MB157 | GOT-V1-3c-8 | Maturity: A3 | §4, endnote 4. Critical Systems Heuristics specialises explicit boundaries and affected parties. The method is broader than normative systems design and does not inherit that framework. |

PB09 Forterre (2011) | Not locally admitted in the current Paper 1 bibliography. | A3; C / REF / 0. Throughput-identity comparator at heading 5.5, note 4. The free virion / intracellular virocell distinction is close to free-phase / host-completed attribution, but Life-in-Potential is not inherited from the virocell concept. | A3; C / REF / 0. Procedural comparator at headings 5.3 and 5.4, note 4. Supports separation of inert free phase from host-completed intracellular phase; the Paper 3 attribution sequence and classifications remain independent. | One publication; two related but distinct comparator uses. No inheritance. |
PB18 Lennon & Jones (2011) | Not locally admitted in the current Paper 1 bibliography. | E / N-A / 1. heading 5.3, note 3. Empirical support for dormancy as reversible reduced activity; intrinsic resumability remains the Paper 2 attribution criterion. | E / N-A / 1. heading 5.1, note 2. Empirical support for low-activity yet resumable biological states; GOT dormant-Life classification is not inherited from the source. | Same empirical literature supports two local claims. Operational evidence use does not transfer the surrounding framework. |
PB20 Montévil & Mossio (2015) | Local endnote relation: close organisational neighbour; acknowledged without technical dependence. Closure of constraints does not establish the Paper 1 NTC/IPL burden. | A3; C / OVL / 0. heading 1.6 maintained-interface comparator, note 2. Organisational closure may help mark interacting biological boundaries, but closure alone does not establish Attribution Locus or life-status. | Not admitted. Paper 3 H03 is a scoped X6 hold on the Paper 2 biological-individuality / holobiont / organisational-closure family because Paper 3 inherits attribution architecture and should not duplicate Paper 2 provenance merely because exemplars apply it. | Deduplicate the publication record; preserve P1 and P2 local meanings and the P3 non-duplication boundary. |

Canonical inclusion | Paper 1c is the released compositional extension listed and source-locked in 0.1. Its argument and scholarly apparatus remain those of the frozen Issue 1 manuscript. | Keep canonical-work identity separate from external-publication identity and local citation role. |
Reader-facing apparatus | 21 native endnotes; nine internal series references; six existing external works. Verified in the released Issue 1 manuscript identified in 0.1. | Absent-apparatus placeholder closed. The final manuscript, its note anchors and reference entries are the paper-level source for this register; no further apparatus is authored in this support release. |
Plato comparison | Heading 3.4 attributes a position to Plato, but the supplied cited corpus identifies no supporting Platonic text. Note 10 exposes the limit. | Carried source limitation, not verified historical scholarship. The frozen manuscript retains the comparison and endnote 10; this support release neither adds a Platonic source nor applies alternative wording. A future supported attribution or wording change requires a paper revision and new downstream hashes. |
Shannon / quantum illustration | Shannon (1948) is reused in note 17 only as channel-theoretic context. Note 3 reuses Rovelli (2015) only for physical-relative information, not a quantum result. | No quantum formalism is imported; no new calculation is performed; Paper 1a’s F/DEP/1 posture is not automatically transferred. |
Coded audit / branch-memory | The retained Paper 1c source-reuse record and released endnotes document the bounded existing-corpus review. The original GOT-SD-BIB-01 control remains unrecovered; no full discovery audit is claimed. | Retain existing codes at their old local homes. Use explicit prose roles for Paper 1c; do not invent maturity, inheritance or exclusion codes. |
Issue 1 bibliography delta | Six new Paper 1c local external occurrences; zero new external publication identities. Part 2a totals: 28 occurrences, 22 identities. | Count nine internal series references separately. Preserve the original 22 Part 2a relation rows and all Part 2b records. |
Issue 1 release gate | Paper-level apparatus present in released Issue 1; source-only inheritance and reuse roles documented. Historical attribution and illustrative evidence limits remain explicit. | Paper identity and final source hashes propagated. Release is of the frozen source-limited corpus; it does not resolve the scholarly limits by relabelling or establish new empirical findings. |

P1 | Walker & Davies (2013), The Algorithmic Origins of Life | Hold; A3; C / SPEC / 0; X6 | Strong problem-level neighbour on information gaining causal efficacy in living systems, but top-down causation is central to the external proposal and is not required by Paper 1. Revisit only if hierarchical/top-down causation becomes locally load-bearing. |
P1 | Anderson & Piccinini (2024), The Physical Signature of Computation | Hold; A3; C / OVL / 0; X3 | Major contemporary physical-computation comparator, but Chalmers, Horsman, and the now-published Lizier provenance/comparator relation already cover the local implementation/triviality burden. Revisit if Paper 1 expands its general theory of physical computation. |
P1 | Solé et al. (2024), Fundamental constraints to the logic of living systems | Hold; A2; A / ADJ / 0; X3 | Broad thermodynamic/informational/computational constraint adjacency. Current Paper 1 already decomposes this neighbourhood through more specific admitted sources; revisit if universal living-system constraint families become a distinct claim. |
P1 | Terminology residual: Counterfactual Order Advantage; Information Processing Locus; Nested Multiscale Framework; Baseline Dynamics | Residual; X5 where applicable | No material prior technical construct matching Counterfactual Order Advantage was identified in the targeted sweep. IPL, NMF, and Baseline Dynamics have generic/descriptive lexical neighbours but no verified relation sufficient for publication beyond the admitted bibliography. Preserve as terminology branch-memory; do not claim exhaustive uniqueness. |
P2 | Clegg (2001), cryptobiosis | Hold; X3 | Redundant for current text once Lennon & Jones represents dormancy. Revisit if cryptobiosis becomes load-bearing. |
P2 | DiFrisco (2018), biological process identity/persistence | Hold; A2 / A-ADJ-0 | Real adjacency but outside the minimum sufficient set. Revisit if a process-identity comparator becomes explicit. |
P2 | Moreira & López-García (2009), virus/life debate | Hold; A2 | Useful opposing literature but too binary for the present local relation. Revisit if the virus comparator is expanded. |
P2 | Kirchhoff et al. (2018), Markov blankets | Exclude; X3 / X6 | Formal/statistical boundary does not establish maintained informational boundary or Attribution Locus. Revisit only if a formal statistical-boundary apparatus is adopted. |
P2 | Gilbert, Sapp & Tauber (2012); Clarke (2010); West et al. (2015) | Hold; X3 | Redundant biological-individuality neighbourhood once the admitted comparator set is present. |
P2 | Hinrichs et al. (2026) preprint, Life as Plasmas | Hold; A2; C / SPEC / 0; X6 | Source identity and adjacency are now sufficiently verified to move beyond A0/X7. The work concerns physical admissibility/minimal-autonomy criteria and fits the life-threshold/autonomy neighbourhood more strongly than Paper 2 attribution architecture. Revisit only if those criteria become locally material to Attribution Locus or continuity. |
P3 | Catling et al., exoplanet biosignature Bayesian assessment | Hold; A2 / X3 / X6 | Relevant to probabilistic biosignature warrant but redundant locally once Neveu / Green / Parenteau represent the closer methodological neighbourhood. |
P3 | Yao, three-way decision theory | Exclude; A1 / X5 / X6 | Accept / reject / noncommitment is only a high-level resemblance. Paper 3 residual deferral is not a third class or generic decision region. |
P3 | Paper 2 biological individuality / holobiont / organisational-closure comparator family | Scoped hold; X6 | Primary bibliographic home is Paper 2. Paper 3 inherits the attribution architecture and should not duplicate Paper 2 provenance merely because its exemplars apply it. |

Terminology collisions retained as X5 residual where relations differ. | Reopen only if Paper 1 itself develops general abstraction theory, ecological/perceptual availability, receiver-use/decision semantics, optimisation-based relevance, or a materially closer prior technical relation. Downstream fit alone is not an update condition. No material prior construct was found for RAS, RSD, RRP Set, or the Relational Access Principle. |

Turing (1937); Clark & Chalmers (1998); Floridi (2008). | Retain as formal computability, extended-mind, and abstraction neighbours where locally redundant or scope-misaligned. Reopen only if those narrower relations become load-bearing in Paper 3a-1. | |
Alchourrón, Gärdenfors & Makinson (1985); Knight (1921); Simon (1955); Walley (1991); adaptive-management literature including Williams et al. | Retain formal belief-revision, risk/uncertainty, satisficing, imprecise-probability, and adaptive-management neighbours. Reopen only if Paper 3a-2 adopts the corresponding formal or decision architecture. | |
Woodward interventionism; Kolchinsky & Wolpert semantic information; control-theoretic controllability; Hoel causal emergence; Cheng causal-power accounts. | Hold where the neighbour either imports a stronger architecture, duplicates the admitted causal/potential comparators, or shifts from primitive branch potential into higher-order causal or control structure. | |
Fan Mingdi terminology lead; Fischer & Ravizza; Matthias; van de Poel; Cheney-style provenance; Meliou-style responsibility/accountability formalisms. | Hold mature moral-responsibility, responsibility-gap, distributed-responsibility, and provenance programmes unless Paper 3b-4 adopts their stronger agency, normative, or formal machinery. Terminology-only leads remain non-published. | |
O'Neill (2014); Jacovi et al. W3C PROV / provenance standards; Gallie-style essentially contested concepts; Kroll et al. accountability; broader assurance/audit frameworks already locally redundant. | Reopen only if provenance formalism, contested-concept theory, or algorithmic accountability becomes a direct technical dependency rather than a comparator to recoverability. | |
Lessig and wider code/regulation programmes; broader standards, accreditation, conformity-assessment, and institutional capture literatures. | Hold where operational governance is informative but does not improve the paper-specific discriminator: amendment and authority remain answerable to demonstrated relation-preservation. | |
Metcalf et al. (2023); O'Neill (2014); Tim Kelly, Arguing Safety (1998); generic 'epistemic method', 'epistemic audit', and 'relational audit' term families. | Hold machine-specific accountability, normative trustworthiness, safety-case assurance, and generic terminology where they do not reproduce the full integrated audit architecture or are redundant with stronger admitted comparators. |

Local discovery boundaries
P1 recorded discovery residual
P1-SD04 source section 7. The following local residual statement is retained from the part register; historical dates and audit claims remain source history.
This Part consolidation does not expand the discovery perimeter beyond the completed paper-level work. Paper 1 now carries a targeted audit upgrade against FD16, including the admitted Lizier et al. terminology/provenance comparator and Kolchinsky & Wolpert information-maintenance comparator, plus explicit hold/exclusion branch-memory. Paper 2 and Paper 3 carry their historical coded audits forward only where the 2026-08-12 posture/delta checks found no material change in relation, locator, or update condition.
Paper 3 retains the deliberate scope boundary that biological-individuality, holobiont, and organisational-closure comparators owned by Paper 2 are not duplicated merely because the procedure applies the inherited attribution architecture. The same ownership discipline applies upward: later-Part concepts are not imported into Part 1 to pre-install downstream architecture.
No further material adjacency is asserted by this document. Unsearched, inaccessible, held, excluded, or unrecognised adjacency remains residual. The Part bibliography should therefore be read as the current minimum-sufficient recoverable publication set, not as an exhaustive literature survey.
P2a recorded discovery residual
P2-SD04 source section 7. The following local residual statement is retained from the part register; historical dates and audit claims remain source history.
This revision carries forward the historical discovery posture of Papers 1, 1a and 1b without expanding its searched fields. Paper 1c is reviewed as a compositional extension using the existing corpus. Its inherited architecture and six external citation reuses are locally documented. An external adjacency sweep for relational index, embodiment, reachability, Form or propagation is not claimed, and no absence of comparable scholarship is inferred.
The 22 original Part 2a external local relations and their codes are preserved; six bounded Paper 1c local uses bring the Issue 1 occurrence total to 28 without changing the 22 publication identities. Paper 1a’s Shannon/Landauer/Parrondo physical-formal dependencies remain at their original home and recorded level 1. Paper 1c performs no new formal calculation and receives no automatic F/DEP/1 transfer or new Indexed Inheritance.
The historical no-further-material-adjacency statement applies only to its recorded search fields and conditions, not to Paper 1c. Non-English scholarship, inaccessible sources, terminology-independent formulations and unrecognised adjacency remain residual. The present source-only review adds no novelty or exhaustive-prior-art claim. Paper 1c’s Plato attribution and the empirical limits of its illustrations remain visible in 3.1 and the released paper endnotes and retained source-reuse record.
P2b recorded discovery residual
P2-SD04 source section 7. The following local residual statement is retained from the part register; historical dates and audit claims remain source history.
The six historical sweeps are described in the supplied register as covering their principal protocol neighbourhoods without exhaustiveness. Those scope limits are retained, not independently reverified by an external search for this release. They do not extend to the Paper 1c source-only review.
Historical Part 2b residual: the recorded sweeps did not claim exhaustive non-English, inaccessible, terminology-independent, or formal-neighbour coverage; their reported absence of a single external framework supplying the complete Part 2b sequence was a bounded source-control statement, not an originality proof. This release carries that residual forward and makes no new external-priority or originality finding.
P3 recorded discovery residual
P3-SD04 source section 8. The following local residual statement is retained from the part register; historical dates and audit claims remain source history.
This reconciliation checks the Issue 1 reference lists and local endnotes; it does not conduct a new external discovery pass or promote relation classifications. The earlier paper-level discovery and delta/posture work is not an exhaustive prior-art search. The consolidated register preserves the strongest examined neighbourhoods, holds, exclusions, and current source identities. No further material adjacency was identified within the searched fields and search conditions for the completed paper-level passes. Unsearched, inaccessible, non-English, later-published, or unrecognised terminology-independent adjacency remains residual.
Inheritance and maintenance controls
P2b inheritance controls
P2-SD04 T19 | P2b local scope | 7 source records retained in order
Control | Rule |
|---|---|
Citation does not transfer warrant | A publication remains evidence of a recoverable relation, not authority for the paper’s discriminator. |
Adjacency does not imply inheritance | A2/A3 relations remain adjacency/comparator relations unless a separate inheritance audit promotes them. |
No new Indexed Inheritance | All admitted relation rows remain inheritance level 0 in the six source audits; the 2026-08-12 posture/delta checks created no promotion. |
No new F-class dependency | The six audits report no new formal/methodological dependency created by bibliography integration; the 2026-08-12 posture/delta checks created none. |
Provenance remains local | P-class entries recover terminology or intellectual provenance without importing external machinery. |
Comparator pressure remains local | C-class entries state overlap, contrast, application, or specialisation without becoming a Part-wide dependency. |
Hash identity is mechanical | Recalculated hashes identify exact saved file instances. First-16 displays abbreviate SHA-256 values. The release manifest distinguishes verified full digests from the unchanged recorded locks for Papers 1, 1a and 1b, whose bytes were not supplied. Historical predecessor locks remain evidence only. |
P3 inheritance controls
P3-SD04 T12 | P3 local scope | 8 source records retained in order
Control | Rule |
|---|---|
Citation does not transfer warrant | A publication remains evidence of a recoverable relation, not authority for the paper’s discriminator. |
Adjacency does not imply inheritance | A2/A3 relations remain comparator/adjacency relations unless a separate inheritance audit promotes them. |
Indexed Inheritance | No current Part 3 paper-level bibliography relation is promoted here to inheritance level 2. |
Formal / technical dependency | Gödel (1931) is F / DEP / 1 in Paper 3a-1 for the formal incompleteness exemplar. Parrondo, Horowitz & Sagawa (2015) is F / DEP / 1 in Paper 3b-3 only for the thermodynamic ground of information processing/work/entropy. Neither transfers the wider originating framework. |
Empirical dependency | Baron & Hershey (1988) is E / N-A / 1 in Paper 3c-6 for outcome bias; the wider decision-psychology framework is not inherited. |
Provenance remains local | P-class entries recover terminology or intellectual provenance without importing external machinery. |
Comparator pressure remains local | C-class entries state overlap, contradiction, or specialisation without becoming a Part-wide dependency. |
Conditional audit repetition | Albantakis & Tononi and Chockler & Halpern recur in Paper 3c-8 because the integrated method audits Power/Responsibility claims; that repetition does not make their formalisms TEM dependencies. |
A change begins with the paper’s own bibliography or endnote relation. Update the part publication union and local relation register before updating this master. Preserve existing MB identities for the same publication in subsequent issues; add new identities without recycling retired ones. Record any split, merge, correction, demotion or promotion explicitly. The master cannot grant a relation that the paper has not earned.
